The ISTEN Transnational Cooperation Network will host a webinar on 11th February 2020 focusing on policies and strategies in the Adriatic Ionian region to foster transport and network integration.
The Lead Partner, Università Mediterranea di Reggio Calabria (IT) and the Technical Coordinator Centre for Research and Technology Hellas of Thessaloniki (GR) will give a short overview on the project’s objectives and main outcomes, based on the analysis on the existing bottlenecks towards port-hinterland integration carried out in the ISTEN sites.
After that, Pierluigi Coppola, coordinator of the Thematic Steering Group Transport of the European Strategy for the Adriatic-Ionian macro region (EUSAIR), will introduce the attendees to the policy framework that can contribute to achieving this objective.
Pierluigi Coppola is Professor of Transportation Planning at the Department of Mechanical Engineering of the Politechnic of Milan, Italy. His research focuses on Transport Planning and advanced modeling.
